About Annapolis Vision Center Annapolis Vision Center is a progressive primary eye care facility offering a full range of eye care services and a large contemporary selection of frames, lenses & contacts. The practice was established in 1993 and is independently owned by Drs. Pennye Stammer Doud & Vincente Simoncini. Drs. Doud & Simoncini are committed to providing the highest quality vision care to their patients and making available to them state-of-the-art vision correction techniques with an emphasis on personalized service for the entire family! Get to know the doctors: Dr. Pennye Doud Dr. Doud, born in New Mexico, refers to herself as a "retired military brat". After living throughout the Southeast she settled in Maryland and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. Dr. Doud received her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she graduated with honors. At UHCO she was elected to the Dean’s List, was inducted into the Gold Key International Honor Society and the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Doud currently resides in Annapolis with her husband and daughter. Dr. Vince Simoncini Dr. Simoncini is a native of Maryland and attended Loyola College in Baltimore, MD. After completing his undergraduate degree, he received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry, where he was elected to the Dean’s List. Dr. Simoncini and his wife reside in Turkey Point where they are actively involved in the Edgewater Kiwanis and he is affectionately known as "The World’s Greatest Redskin’s Fan". Meet the Staff: We are very proud of our professional staff, which consists of board-certified opticians and technicians. In addition to our technical staff, we also have full-time insurance and account administrators as well as a laser vision correction consultant. The Annapolis Vision Center staff will work together as a team to guide you through our office beginning with your initial call to the office.
